GORD, STEVE and JACK To Play FRANKIE VENOM TRIBUTE @ HAMILTON MUSIC AWARDS on NOV 14
Gord Lewis of Teenage Head confirms that the band will perform at the Frankie Venom Tribute show during the Hamilton Music Awards weekend on Friday, November 14 in the Studio Theatre at Hamilton Place. They will also appear after the Awards ceremony on Sunday night. Gord, Steve and Jack will be appearing with guest vocalists. The band is extremely grateful for the recognition and outpouring of support from the Hamilton Music industry since the lost of band mate and friend, the legendary Frankie Venom.
"Needless to say, we were absolutely devastated with the news of Frankie's passing," says Festival Director Jean-Paul Gauthier. "We will do our best to make sure that the legacy of Teenage Head and Frankie Venom lives on - we are going to host a huge rock 'n' roll style celebration in their honour." The Forgotten Rebels, who were originally scheduled to headline, will perform a full set before the Teenage Head tribute. The all-girl punk band Rackula will open the evening. Doors will open at 9PM.
In addition to Teenage Head's performance next weekend at the tribute, in the very near future Lewis will announce details of future tribute shows and benevolent initiatives in support of a foundation being created to support musicians in need.
